If you are a provider of a health or disability service you have an obligation to fully understand the Code of Health and Disability Consumers’ Rights (the Code) so you are able to incorporate the Code into your everyday practice. This section provides you with tools to do this.
Our online learning modules are designed to support your learning in a way that’s relevant for all practitioners and can be done anywhere – at work, at home, at any time.
These modules will:
Improve your knowledge and understanding of the Code and how it applies to health and disability services.
Show you how you can apply the Code to your practice.
Improve your knowledge and understanding of the complexities of informed consent and how you can apply this to your practice.
Improve your knowledge, understanding and application of your legal obligations for managing complaints, and the factors that encourage early resolution.
These three modules are 30 minutes in length and can be used towards continuous professional development.
